GRANSIL SIW-PCA 10

INCI : Dimethicone,4-PCA Dimethicone,Water,Butylene Glycol,Decyl Glucoside Water-coated silicone technology; the simple (and effective) way to load silicone elastomers into water-based formulations featuring GRANSIL SiW-PCA-10. A 90% oil phase micro-dispersion of 60,000cSt dimethicone and PCA dimethicone. The pyrrolidone carboxylic acid group reduces the interfacial tension between water and silicones; along with having a very high affinity for keratein protein. Each PCA group holds several units of moisture and forms ionic bonds with any free amino group on the hair or skin. Product is designed for easy addition into leave-on lotions, rinse-off conditioners and cleansers. Designed to be formulated directly with aqueous phase. Recommended formulation technique is to use Gransil SiW-PCA-10 at 4-5% in a conditioner or shampoo; the end result being a product that provides enhanced slip, volume and conditioning, as well as being easier to formulate at lower temperatures.
