UCUUBA BUTTER is pressed from seeds of the ucuuba tree, which is native to the Amazon region, and grows in wetlands, floodplains and flooded areas in the forest. Ucuúba Butter is extremely high in myristic acid (around 70 %), and can be found among the few species with the highest myristic acid content. The butter has a high slip melting point, around 45 °C, much higher than typical other exotic butters, and interesting as possible replacement for animal waxes, such as beeswax. The butter, which has a dry touch, can be used for hydration, tissue regeneration and to provide softness. In hair care it can be used to provide protection. Data shows a positive influence on biomechanical properties. UCUUBA BUTTER is COSMOS and NATRUE approved, is halal certified, and suitable for vegans.
