AVICEL SMCC 50

AVICEL® SMCC 50 is silicified microcrystalline cellulose, a co-process excipient comprising microcrystalline cellulose and fumed silicon dioxide. AVICEL® SMCC 50 is used as an excipient in pharmaceutical and dietary supplement formulations. The integration of microcrystalline cellulose and fumed silicon dioxide at the particle level enhances AVICEL® SMCC 50 functional performance such as improved flow and processing compared to a blend of the individual components. Its powder flow and compaction properties make it well-suited for use in direct compression tablet manufacturing and for capsule filling applications.
